Saya sudah mendengar nama Akaigita semenjak 2018 dan buku pertama beliau sudah sering saya baca dan ambil pada saat saya ke Gramedia ditambah dengan rekomendasi dari penulis favorite saya, belum juga menggerakan niat saya untuk membeli dan membaca buku beliau. Tergiur  oleh diskon yang ditawarkan, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk membeli buku ini. Apakah langsung dibaca? Oh tentu saya tidak, masih masuk ke TBR yang tidak ada habis – habis nya.

Buku ini adalah buku kedua dari Akaigita yang saya baca, sebelumnya adalah Enigma Pasha. Sejak saat itu, saya menasbihkan diri sebagai bucinnya Akaigita, tulisan – tulisan dan buku – bukunya akah menjadi prioritas.

Sinopsis 

Rumah di tepi rawa itu menyimpan bahaya. Dari kucing – kucing yang menghilang tanpa jejak, kerisik aneh di langit – langit pada malam hari, hingga keberadaan makhluk setinggi pohon kelapa yang menjaga tanah itu.

Suatu hari, Venus – anak perempuan penghuni rumah – terjatuh ke sumur dan koma. Saat dia siuman, dia mengaku terpeleset karena kaget melihat ular besar di sana.

Lantas mengapa Adam, sahabat karib Venus, dikucilkan dan dituduh mendorong gadis itu ke sumur? Mengapa pula Luna, adik Venus yang serbatahu malah diam seribu bahasa?

Rumah di tepi rawa itu tak hanya menyimpan bahaya, tetapi juga rahasia gelap yang tak boleh menyebar.

Review 

Buku ini diceritakan dari sudut pandang empat orang, Venus, Luna, Adam, dan Herman. Selama membaca buku ini saya dibuat terpana oleh kata – katanya, world bulidingnya juara, dialog – dialognya cerdas. Sepanjang membaca buku ini saya tidak memikirkan akan plot dan bagaimana endingnya, saya sangat menikmati proses membacanya, sehingga tidak sadar tau – tau sudah di halaman terakhir.

Ah ya, tentu saja selama membaca buku ini, perasaan saya diaduk – aduk seperti saat naik roller coaster. Bisa tertawa di awal kemudian dihempas pada saat yang sama.

Membaca buku ini juga membawa nostalgia ke kenangan masa kecil saya, bermain bersama teman dan kehidupan di sekolah walaupun saya tidak bisa bermain di padang rumput yang luas.

Masing – masing dari kami membawa es sirop dan simoay dalam bungkusan plastik. Tidak sehat tapi asik.

Buku ini juga mengangkat isu tentang keseimbangan alam dan ekosistem serta kesenjangan yang terjadi antara si kaya dengan si miskin yang erat kita jumpai dalam kehidupan sehari – hari.

Area hijau di kota ini semakin menipis, bangunan tinggi semakin banyak, pemukiman kumuh menjamur. Kami hanya ingin menjadi penyeimbang. Kami hanya berusaha menjaga setitik paru – paru kota yang tersisa agar nggak benar – benar habis.

Hal lain yang saya sangat sukai dari buku ini adalah tokoh – tokohnya. Tidak ada semua tokoh yang sempurna, semua perbuatan yang mereka lakukan ada sebabnya. Tidak ada yang murni salah dan benar. Mereka punya kebenaran versi masing – masing.

Banyak yang menyukai  Herman pada buku ini, tapi Luna mendapatkan tempat khusus di hati saya. Saya banyak bersimpati terhadap dia, bagaimana dia selama ini diperlakukan oleh orang – orang sekitarnya. 

Tapi aku nggak punya apa – apa, punya teman saja dilarang. Aku harus hidup gimana?

Akhir kata, buku ini saya rekomendasikan untuk kamu yang ingin membaca cerita remaja, yang penuh petualangan dan misteri.

Tubuh kita bisa terbentuk dan hancur dengan mudahnya, tapi pikiran kita tidak. Pikiran kita kekal selama kita mengutarakannya.
